About Kira
Kira was born and raised until the age of ten on a small island off the coast of Maine.
She spent her days exploring every inch of the island - playing with snakes and frogs, climbing on rocks, biking and walking barefoot, eating ice cream cones at the local shop or enjoying gatherings over a beach bonfire as the sun set. It felt idyllic living on that tiny island so connected and close to nature - hair forever curly with the salty air, skin kissed by the sun, feet tough from the rocks and sand. It was a place of simplicity and magic.
While life has a way of changing, it is this special place that had the greatest impact on her heart and soul. Kira credits much of who she is to her experience on the island including her creative inspiration, love of adventure, desire for simple comforts of home, and connection with nature and animals.
Over the years, Kira’s creativity has been influenced by her travels around Europe and the United States as well as her own inner exploration through meditation and other spiritual practices. Her artwork now serves as her own form of meditation, relaxation and connection.
Kira’s desire is that her pieces become talismans to the beauty and magic of nature. She hopes they will invoke feelings of peace, joy and comfort while being a reminder to appreciate all the intricate elements that make up this world that we enjoy.
