✤ "Edelweiss" Acrylic Painting on Cradled Board - 12 x 24 Inches
Artwork Story:
The title of this painting came to me after finishing it. I was sitting in my hammock and put the question out there: “What shall I name this piece?” The word edelweiss came to mind. I thought it a bit strange since that is such a specific flower. Looking it up however, I noticed that this white flower somewhat resembled parts of my painting. I also loved that fact that edelweiss is said to symbolize dedication. So while I don’t have an exact representation of edelweiss in my drawing, I felt that it did seem to embody the essence of my drawing and the energy that I put into it. I also thought fondly of the song “Edelweiss” from “The Sound of Music” because I grew up watching that movie a lot.
